Laurel Class Letter 19th June

Hi Laurel Class,

I hope you have had a good week. Are you beginning to see more of your friends now? I hope so. Maybe you’ve met in the park or in somebody’s garden.

This weekend I am going for a picnic with some friends and I’m really looking forward to it.

Good luck with your new learning pack. I am sure you will try hard and do a great job.

Bye for now,

Mrs Harrison

Laurel Class Letter 15th June

Hi everyone,

I hope you are well. It was so lovely to see so many of you at the Zoom meeting on Friday. What a lovely surprise! It really made me feel happy when I saw all your fabulous smiling faces.

I’m sorry there were a few technical problems with my laptop. I was at the junior school and I couldn’t get it to work properly there. Hopefully, it didn’t spoil it too much as you were still all able to see your friends. Luckily, I could talk to you eventually after running over to another room and using a different laptop.

I hope you have all had a good weekend, enjoying the sunshine, and that you are getting on well with your learning at home.

Best wishes,

From Mrs Harrison

Laurel Class Letter – 4th June

Hi Laurel Class,

I hope you are all well. It seems such a long time since we have seen each other. I wonder what you have been up to. I have been spending as much time as I can outside, when I’m not working and preparing activities for you to do at home.

I hope you have been getting on all right with the activities that Mrs Bagnall, Mrs Meade and I have sent home for you to do. I expect some of them have seemed quite easy and maybe others have been a bit trickier. Don’t worry about that, just remember to try hard and to do your best. If you do that, you will be fine.

Have you seen the videos and the new Power Point that I put on the website to help you with your maths? It is always great when you can take your learning outside.

Best of luck everyone. Hopefully, some of you are starting to see other members of your family and friends and things are beginning to seem a little bit more normal again.

Laurel Class Letter 21.4.20

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all still safe and well and that you had a lovely Easter with your family at home. We have been so lucky to see so much sunshine over the last few weeks so I expect lots of you have been spending time outside in your garden or maybe in the park. I would love to find out what you have been up to. Maybe you can send some photos to Ms Widdeson for the school website.

I have still been going out for walks every day. Because I don’t live in the city I walk across fields, through woods and down country lanes. There are so many signs of spring around. I love the wild flowers and the blossom on the trees. Yesterday I saw two families of geese with their goslings and there are lots of young calves in the fields.

Like you, I am sure, I have been trying to keep in touch with my family through video calls. Yesterday it was my daughter’s birthday so we all got together on our computers to chat and sing happy birthday. We also had lots of fun playing silly games. My favourite was drawing a picture with the piece of paper on my head! It’s not easy -try it.

Best wishes everyone,

Mrs Harrison
