How can Pastoral Support be accessed?

Members of school staff can also refer children to the pastoral team or children themselves can let us know they need some support. Parents/Carers will be informed of any intervention planned by the pastoral team. 

Does my child need Pastoral Support? 

• Are they struggling with low self-esteem? 
• Have they experienced a bereavement? 
• Do they struggle to manage their emotions? 

• Are they often experiencing heightened anxiety? 
• Do they have something specific they worry about a lot? 
• Are they experiencing difficulties in their friendship/peer group? 
• Do you have concerns about their mental health/wellbeing? 

If the answer to any of those questions is yes, or if you have any other concerns, then pastoral support may be a good step in helping your child learn the skills to cope healthily with any struggles they may experience, both now and in the future.   

Can I get support for myself or my family? 

Yes! Part of our role as Pastoral and Parent Support Workers is to work alongside families, not just to support the children in school, but to ensure the wider environment around them is as safe and happy as possible.
