School meals are provided by own in-house catering staff. A main course and dessert are served. A hot dinner, vegetarian option, vegan option, jacket potato or school packed lunch are available daily. All meals are ordered at registration each morning.  If your child has any food intolerance or allergies, please contact the school office on 01603 508530.

At Colman Infant School meals are provided free of charge under the government’s Universal Free School Meal initiative. 

At Colman Junior School the cost of a school meal is £2.50 unless your child is eligible for free school meals.  If you wish to apply for free school meals, please apply online at https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/education-and-learning/schools/school-meals-and-milk 

Breakfast

Breakfast available for pupils at Colman Junior School everyday from 8.35am in the dining room, this is free.  Bagels, fruit and cereal available.

Packed Lunches

If you do not wish your child to have a school meal, then you can provide your child with a home packed healthy lunch for school,(no fizzy drinks), please note that we have do not allow any nut product as have children with allergies.

Mid-Morning Drinks & Snacks

Children at Colman Infant receive fruit free as part of the free fruit for schools’ scheme.   

Children at Colman Junior School will need to bring a healthy snack in for break-time (no nut products). 

Water Bottle 

All children need a water bottle with their name on. It is important that these are brought to school each day filled with fresh water. Children are encouraged to drink often from these bottles throughout the day- there are also a number of water fountains around both schools for the children to use.
